Homeopathy is based on its fundamental principle of“Similia Similibus Curenture” which means like cures like. Dr. Hahnemann observed through his experiments that the medicine has the power to produce certain toxic reactions or so-called disease on healthy individuals, which when given to patients suffering from similar toxic reactions or disease, harmlessly cures him. The ancient Greek physician, the Father of medicine, Hippocrates had mentioned the principle of ‘like cures like’. But it was Dr. Hahnemann who made this principle into the system of medicine through many experiments and drug proving on himself and other healthy volunteers, more than 2000 years ago.

Each medicine is tested on healthy volunteers and detailed records of their physical, mental, and emotional reactions are compiled and preserved, which formed the Homeopathic Materia Medica.

Dr. Hahnemann developed the method of Potentisation to prepare Homeopathic medicine. Potentisation is a process of step by step dilution and succession of original drug substance to make it extremely powerful but harmless at the same time.

Today scientists can understand the effectiveness of the method of Potentisation used to prepare Homeopathic medicines, with the help of Nanotechnology.
